Thirty days of Thankfulness, catching up

November 4, today I am thankful that I can blow my nose. I know that seems silly, but my poor little man can't and he is so stuffed up. I have to use saline spray and a bulb syringe to help him breathe. He hates it and screams the whole time; it just kills me. So, yes I'm grateful for being to expel my own mucous.

November 5, today I am thankful that Jack has such amazing grandparents. My parents watched him last night so Shane and I could attend an anniversary party. Shane's parents are driving up from Houston this weekend to see him. He is a very blessed little boy to have such amazing people to love on him. On a more frivolous, but still equally important note, I'm thankful that I'm wearing pre-pregnancy jeans today!!! Whoo-hoo, yay me.

November 6, today I'm thankful for the new couch that's being delivered to later today. I know I should probably be posting about my gratitude for non material things, but I'm really excited about this couch. I've never had furniture that wasn't a hand-me-down, used or purchased from an as-is room.

November 7, today I'm a thankful for sweet baby smiles. He's been giving them out a lot lately.

November 8, today I'm thankful for my health and the health of my family. We are truly blessed beyond measure. I pray we continue to stay healthy and well, especially as flu season gets going.

November 9, today I am thankful for my mom. I was blessed to grow up with such a loving, godly, generous woman. I pray that I can raise my children the way my sisters and I were raised.

November 10, today I'm thankful for the women and men I call friends. There are some I talk to and see often and I am blessed they are nearby. Some of my dearest friends are far away, yet each time we talk or get to see each other face to face it's like no time has passed. Still, I have other friends who for one reason or another I have lost touch with, but who still mean the world to me. If ever you called me friend, please know that even over time and distance, my friendship still stands. You are one of God's richest blessings on my life and I'm grateful for you.

November 11, today I am thankful for all those who have chosen to serve their country through military service. The freedom and safety we enjoy so freely is because so many others paid the price for us. I am especially grateful for my father, Ret. Chief Master Sergeant Ronald D. Mimms, USAF. I am also proud to have several good friends who have or are serving in the military right now.
