So, I feel like I've been a Mom most of my life. I've really felt like a Mom since this past New Year's when I found out I was expecting. I've officially been a Mom since September 20 2010, when my son Jack was delivered. So I'm still figuring out all this Mom business. To that end, I'd like to begin to document some of the lessons I learn, mistakes I make, and surprises I receive.
I have a confession, today during a diaper change at Toys 'R Us when my newborn son began to pee didn't cover it up because it wasn't getting all over him, instead, I let him pee all down the wall of the bathroom. I knew that if I threw the diaper over him that we would have needed to change clothes and wipe down the whole changing station, basically have a huge mess on our hands, rather than a puddle on the floor. I mean there was already a wet floor sign on the floor below me, I tried to clean it up with some paper towels, but it was really wet down there. I'm guessing that's not the first time that's happened.
